Laval Virtual 2006

Laval Virtual conference and expo is one of the largest annual events in the field of virtual reality and interactive content, held in Laval, France. Laval Virtual 2006 was held in April 26-30th.
The Grand Prize of Laval Virtual Award was awarded to “Micro Archiving” Project by Keio University, Japan. “Theatre Interactif” was awarded the Emerging Technology Award by Tom Craven, E-Tech Chair for SIGGRAPG2006. The work will be invited in Emerging Technologies.
“Inivisble” is an interactive gaming that uses projector to project the shadow of a character and a vacuum cleaner to capture the hidden goblins.
“Perfect Time” is an artwork by H.O h.o that expressed the concept of "time" as illusionary images that appear on the sand screen. The images can only be seen while the sand is falling, thus indicating a fragile and ambiguous image of "time."
“Kobito: Virtual Brownies” is an interactive work using mixed reality technology. It combines imaginary creatures with the real object. The imaginary creatures move real objects by collaboratively pushing it, and the user interact with them by physically moving the real object.
